Our Story

Save Our Smokies was formed in October 2020 in response to increasing litter, graffiti and damage occuring to our public lands. Soon after being created, we registered as a 501(c)(3) with the IRS and as a non-profit with the State of Tennessee. Our goal is to educate people on the negative impacts they have on public lands. We have over 150 volunteers that donate their time to removing litter and graffiti.
